The first thing Highland Brokers does is get to know you and understand your needs. From there, we provide a comprehensive Self Directed Support payroll service. We also set up pension schemes for your employees (also known as PAs or Personal Assistants) and help with employer contracts and employer liability insurance.

 

There are many services we provide, enabling you to meet your legal obligations as an employer. It can be an overwhelming process, but we are on hand to help you at every stage.

From 1st June 2022, we charge the following set rates per month, with no hidden extra costs:

For 1 to 2 employees - £25

For 3 to 4 employees - £30

For 5 to 9 employees - £45

For 10 or more employees - please ask us

Payroll

It’s essential that your carer is paid on time and with the minimum of fuss. Our expertise and the latest software ensure the best possible service.

 

We can:

​

  • Process your carer’s pay each month using high quality payroll software

  • Pay your carer on your behalf, either mid-month or at the end of each month

  • Send payslips each month to your carer - along with a copy to you, our client - showing year to date information

  • Process Statutory Sick Pay and Statutory Maternity Pay

  • Issue P60s and P45s

  • Process holiday pay for your carer

  • Assist you with a holiday management system



Dealing with HMRC

This can be time consuming and is often complicated, which is why we take the strain for you.

 

We can:

  • Register you as an employer with HMRC

  • Set up an online PAYE account for you

  • Deal with HMRC on your behalf

  • Provide Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC

  • Pay taxes to HMRC

Pensions, Insurance and Contracts

These are essential services and we’re delighted to do the hard work for you.

 

We can:

  • Make your Declaration of Compliance to the Pensions Regulator

  • Ensure you’re set up with NEST (National Employment Savings Trust) pension scheme

  • Register your carer with NEST

  • Take care of the entire NEST process for you

  • Help you arrange a direct debit for monthly pension contributions

  • Arrange your employer’s liability insurance with a reputable insurance company

  • Provide you with a comprehensive employment contract template
